Good campus marketing examples show what a brand wanted, what was done on campus and what came back. Below are eight campaigns Youthfluence has run, retold by goal: content, registrations, sampling, launches, app acquisition, product trials and student media. The figures are exactly as published in each case study.
These are our own campaigns, so read them as practice, not as a promise of results for your brand. Every campus plan depends on category, colleges, calendar and budget. For the principles behind them, see campus marketing and the campus marketing strategy framework.

Goal: content that feels native
ITC YiPPee!
The brief was to make the noodles part of college moments rather than an ad people scroll past. We recruited campus creators and briefed them on real situations: the late-night study session, the hostel room, the friend group. More than 100 creators went live across 70+ colleges. The top reel reached 200K+ views, with 60K+ likes and 11K+ shares overall.
What it shows: volume of native content from many small creators, each close to their own campus, can do the work that one large film cannot. The full account is in the ITC YiPPee! case study, and the format is covered in our UGC campaigns.
Bombay Shaving Company
The brief was to launch the Sensi hair removal spray with credibility. We paired 37 creators with dermatologists, so the content carried both a student voice and an expert one. The top dermatologist reel passed 1M views, and likes crossed 60K.
What it shows: when a product needs trust, pairing peers with expertise helps. See the Bombay Shaving Company case study.
Goal: registrations in a short window
Unacademy UPSC Summit 2024
The goal was registrations for a summit within a week. We ran pan-India campus outreach across 100+ colleges in 10+ cities, reaching 100K+ students. The summit drew 4K+ attendees and 10K+ watch hours, with 8.5K+ registrations in the week.
What it shows: a clear, time-boxed ask, delivered through networks students trust, can move quickly. The Unacademy case study has the detail, and our guide to how edtech companies scale campus outreach takes the thinking further.
Goal: sampling and reach
Pee Safe
The aim was to reach Gen Z women through ambassadors and campus sampling. We recruited 150+ ambassadors across 50+ colleges in 17+ cities. They sampled 4.5K+ products, and the campaign reached 1.2M+ people with 81 reels and 160+ stories.
What it shows: a trusted peer handing over the product, with content around it, gives a personal-care range a natural way in. The Pee Safe case study has the figures, and campus sampling describes how we run it.
Goal: launch
Hive Hostels (Aurus Residencies, Mumbai)
The brief was a launch for Hive Hostels at Aurus Residencies in Mumbai. We used 89 campus creators, who made 89 reels and more than 300 stories, producing 1.5M impressions, alongside one launch event.
What it shows: a launch can be built from many small voices and one physical moment. The sequence is described in campus marketing for a product launch, and the account is in the Hive Hostels case study.
Goal: app acquisition
EatSure
EatSure wanted youth users for its app. We ran ambassadors and creators with a single referral code, Campus50, so every install and signup could be traced. The campaign delivered 10K+ app installs and 30K+ unique signups, with a 40% ROI.
What it shows: a single, memorable code makes a campus program measurable. See the EatSure case study and app user acquisition.
Goal: product trials
Motorola
The aim was to put the phone in students’ hands. Campus trials, run by 30 campus ambassadors, gave 1K+ hands-on experiences, and 20 creators filmed the moments, earning 70K+ likes.
What it shows: trial gives belief, creators give reach, and the two together do more than either alone. The Motorola case study has the account.
Goal: amplification through student media
Bajaj Auto and KTM
The task was to push two pieces of content: the Pulsar 2 crore film and the KTM Academy of Safe Riding. We worked with 20+ student media pages and 15+ KTM creators. The KTM Academy content passed 300K+ views and the Pulsar film 1.3M+ views.
What it shows: college media pages can carry brand stories to young audiences in their own voice. See the Bajaj Auto case study.
Patterns across the eight
| Pattern | Where you can see it |
|---|---|
| Peers carry the message | YiPPee!, Pee Safe, Hive Hostels |
| Content and a physical moment together | Motorola, Hive Hostels, Pee Safe |
| One code or one ask, easy to count | EatSure, Unacademy |
| Expertise added to the student voice | Bombay Shaving Company |
| Student media for reach | Bajaj Auto and KTM |
None of the eight depends on a single stall. Each used a network of students, a clear ask and some way to count the result. That is the practical lesson, and it holds whether your goal is content, installs or footfall.
How to use these examples
Match your goal to the closest example, then ask three things. Which colleges and cities would carry the work? What is the one metric I will judge by? What happens in the two weeks after the first touchpoint? Our bands, before GST, give a sense of scale: a single-city pilot or creator-only campaign from ₹2 lakh, a multi-city programme ₹5 to 15 lakh, and national programmes across 50+ colleges ₹15 to 50 lakh and above.
If you want a plan modelled on one of these and an indicative budget, our campus marketing agency team sends one within 48 hours of a brief. Brands can start at contact.
Questions people ask
What are good examples of campus marketing in India?
Campaigns that combine student creators, ambassadors and trials with a clear metric. Our own include ITC YiPPee!, Unacademy’s UPSC Summit, Pee Safe, EatSure, Motorola, Bombay Shaving Company, Hive Hostels and Bajaj Auto with KTM.
What results can a campus marketing campaign deliver?
It depends on the goal, colleges and budget. In our work: Unacademy’s summit drew 8.5K+ registrations in a week, and EatSure’s campaign brought 10K+ installs and 30K+ unique signups. Each case study lists its figures.
Which campus marketing example is best for a new product launch?
Hive Hostels and Motorola are the closest. Hive Hostels used 89 campus creators and one launch event, and Motorola used campus trials with ambassadors and creators. See campus marketing for a product launch.
Are these examples relevant to my category?
The mechanics carry across categories, even if the product differs. Food, personal care, apps, phones, edtech and hospitality are all covered. Your category changes the format mix and the permissions, not the logic.
Did these campaigns run only in metro colleges?
No. The Pee Safe campaign ran across 17+ cities and 50+ colleges, and the Unacademy outreach reached 10+ cities. Campus programs work across tiers, with the plan adjusted to the audience.
How can I get a similar campaign for my brand?
Share your goal, target student, cities and window. We reply within 2 working hours and send a plan with an indicative budget within 48 hours. A single-city pilot starts from ₹2 lakh.
